Ok so you just made this awesome crossover and running like a freakin animal, and then all of a sudden you are required to stop and turn and run in the opposite direction and you can’t, instead you fall and fail to make the turn. Adequate deceleration mechanics are much more important in athletics than many realize. On the run, we must be able to drop our center of gravity into a stable base position so we can quickly make the next cut, jump, turn, dive, or whatever is required. Work on quickly dropping your hips first simply in a standing position, then walking forward, and then running forward.
