AVOIDING BURNOUT

We’ve all been there – exhausted, stressed, maybe a little crabby. Here are a few tricks to help avoid burnout and get the most out of your day:
Sleep
Getting less than 6 hours of sleep puts you at a greater risk for burnout, increasing the chances for impaired mental function, increased stress and lack of motivation. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night!
Set Goals
Setting goals can help provide focus and clarity and prevents the feeling of being overwhelmed. These goals should be easily attainable, yet a bit challenging, to help you grow. Use visual reminders such as a sticky note on the bathroom mirror.
Fuel up on Health Snacks
Good in, means good out! Try a piece of fruit with a handful of nuts for an energizing mid-day snack.
Know When to Stop
Trying to “do it all” can take a serious toll on our physical and mental wellbeing. Be flexible with goals and take the time to relax and catch your breath when needed!
