Dr. Lauren Hodges, Director of Corporate Performance
As a corporate performance coach and Director of Corporate Performance for SPECTRUM, Inc, Lauren has trained hundreds of corporate executives and their teams throughout the southeastern United States. She speaks on the topics of energy management, neuroplasticity, mindful movement and exercise, and nutrition; Lauren also applies these concepts in harmony to maximize energy, health, and happiness both at work and at home. In addition to delivering keynotes and seminars, Lauren is sought after for her expertise in wellness program development, management, and redesign along with executive leadership coaching and content development for professional development in energy management.
Lauren works with some of the most progressive, forward-thinking companies in Central Florida; she has worked with a wide variety of organizations from businesses who manage over $100 million in revenue annually to low budget, local public school systems interested in bringing the concepts of energy management and wellness to teachers and administration. She regularly contributes her expertise to a handful of local news and print publications in Orlando including Orlando Magazine, Insight East Orlando Magazine, and Fox 35 News Orlando. Lauren also sits on the advisory board for the newly founded Valencia College Public Safety Integrated Health and Wellness Institute as well contributes as a promoter of the Lake Nona Life Project, a massive longitudinal research study developed by Johnson & Johnson Wellness and Prevention. Additionally, Lauren is the founder of the Central Florida Wellness Council, a non-profit networking and resource sharing group for health and wellness professionals.
Born and raised in Miami, FL, Lauren earned her doctorate in education from the University of Central Florida in 2011 with a focus in experiential learning and alternative learning methodology. Additionally, Lauren is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA) and Certified Nutrition Coach (NESTA) and has integrated these two areas of expertise into her coaching philosophy. Lauren believes that placing high value on human capital and creating an inclusive workplace wellness program with emphasis on a healthy, thriving workplace culture are critical factors to becoming a competitive, thriving leader in the corporate and educational world.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys surfing, travel, wakeboarding, Olympic weight lifting, competing in Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, and spending time with her husband and two young boys. She is currently coaching two professional wakeboarders who are competing on the latest season of American Ninja Warrior and has since developed a liking for this type of crazy, acrobatic, explosive training.
