SPECTRUM is excited to announce its latest technological addition with the SECA medical Body Composition Analyzer, or SECA mBCA for short. It is the only body composition analyzer designed for medical use, and validated against the Four Compartment Model; the gold standard for fat mass estimation. The SECA mBCA is reliable, economical, and simple to use. It offers a non-invasive analysis which allows us to work more efficiently and precisely, while providing more to our clients.

SPECTRUM takes great pride in working with its vast variety of clientele. For many years we have supported many people in their goals, and now, we are excited to have one of the best devices in the world to further aid our clients and their pursuits.

The SECA examination provides us with the following information:

pic_advantages Fat Mass: The fat mass (FM) is the total amount of fat in the body. In addition to storage or depot fat, it also includes structural fat. Depot fat stores energy and heat for the body. Structural fat is vital for life and plays a role in various parts of the body. For example, it helps with the development of somatic cells and protects the organs.
However, if the FM is permanently high, this increases the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Fat-Free Mass: The fat-free mass (FFM) is the difference between your weight and FM. Averaging 73.2%, water accounts for the largest share of FFM. Muscles, bones, organs, cartilage, tendons and ligaments are also part of FFM.

Energy: Resting Energy Expenditure, and Total Energy Expenditure provide direction of weight loss, gain, or maintain.

Skeletal Muscle Mass: The skeletal muscle mass (SMM) comprises the mass of all the muscles that move the body and are responsible for posture.

Phase Angle: The phase angle is a measure of the quantity and quality of the somatic cells. The phase angle allows conclusions to be drawn about a person’s nutritional condition and state of health, and provides muscular cell integrity.

Fluid: Total Body Water (TBW) is broken down into Extracellular Water (ECW) and Intracellular Water (ICW).

Visceral Fat: This abdominal fat, which is also known as visceral fat, is a risk factor for vascular disease (arteriosclerosis) and diabetes mellitus type 2, which can result in heart attacks and strokes.

Clinically validated data.
The precision of the seca mBCA output parameters were validated across various ethnicities in a multicenter trial using the respective and most precise reference measurement method, also called the gold standard. This means you receive data that you can actually use and rely on.

WHO IS THIS FOR:
This is for anyone and everyone who wants to have measurables.

Gain a better understanding of your body make up. How much Fat Mass? How much Fat-Free Mass? Where is your Skeletal Muscle Mass, and where do you need to improve it? Left arm vs right arm, upper body vs lower body? Gain a better understanding of how many calories you need to gain weight, lose weight, or maintain weight. Learn what your hydration levels are and how strong your muscle cells are.

HOW DO I GET STARTED:
