With a passion for continual growth and a curiosity of human movement, Jonathan has grown into a lead educational role and one of our senior performance specialist.

Jonathan joined the SPECTRUM team in 2011, and his been one of our staple performance coaches ever since. He has taken great pride in being able to work with every population. His education in the field has allowed him to design workouts to help people with pain as well as customize the most challenging programs. Jonathan has become our lead Fitness Educator in our Workshop and Internship programs.

Jonathan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida in 2003. He has been working in the fitness industry since 2005. He worked in health clubs as a personal trainer before taking a job with the Central Florida YMCA. There, he was promoted from a personal trainer to Wellness Director at the Avalon Park YMCA. After a year of successful wellness retention through originating specialized fitness programs and classes, Taylor was further promoted to Sr. Wellness Director of the Downtown YMCA. There, he was employed to help change the YMCA’s entire wellness approach, collaborating with other leaders in the field and educating staff through specialized, fitness training. Jonathan also starred as Head Trainer of the popular TV show, “The Get Fit Club” on Local 6 for three seasons, which took overweight contestants and revamped their life through fitness, nutrition, and counseling. He played a large part in the design and overall direction of the show, which saw contestants lose hundreds of pounds.

Jonathan is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and has been mentored by Paul Prather, co-founder of Velocity Sports Performance, and Mark Twight, Owner of Gym Jones in Salt Lake City, Utah, most known for his unique training techniques that were applied to the actors for the movie 300. Jonathan continues to pursue deepening his education in the field and aspires to be among the leaders in the industry.
